OUR MISSION

Our Foundation was started initially as a scholarship fund to ensure that the memory of our close friend and family member BJ Bond would live through the kind acts and generosity of those willing to make a difference in our community. On Wednesday October 29th, 1997; BJ lost his life suddenly at the age of 17. Unfortunately, most of us never got a chance to say goodbye. In the short amount of time BJ was here, he was able to make a profound impact on nearly everyone who was lucky enough to share their lives with him. Our mission is to spread some of the joy and happiness BJ had shown us, with those in the area who are less fortunate.

Today our foundation continues to grow, and has evolved; now concentrating on improving the lives of local children and their families. The Robert "BJ" Bond Foundation has given hope and provided relief to the families of children who have been faced with life threatening illnesses. With your help we have been able to help 5 area families in their times of need. Whether it has been to relieve their financial burdens so they can spend more time with their children, or just to put a smile on a sick child's face by making one of their dreams come true; the Robert "BJ" Bond Foundation will continually exhaust its resources to ensure that each family can concentrate on the situation at hand. We have been working in conjunction with a local social worker, Brett Kramer, locating the families who are the most at need. With Brett's help we have provided families with financial assistance to help offset lost wages encountered while spending time with their children, transportation, gas cards, games, toys, autographed balls, dolls, and even trips to professional sports practices and games. As we speak we are starting on a new case, our 6th to date.
